The distinguished soprano Maria Katrivesi was born in Patras, Greece. A scholarship recipient of the New York Film Academy, she pursued studies in Musical Theater in New York, training under esteemed Broadway artists and Hollywood stars, including Kevin Spacey. She further honed her artistry in Classical Vocal Performance in Greece, graduating with highest honors and First Prize from the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.

Her operatic debut came in the role of Blonde (The Abduction from the Seraglio), followed by performances such as the Queen of the Night at the Dutch Opera Studio (Netherlands) and the illustrious Smetana Hall (Prague). Throughout her career, she has embodied a repertoire of roles, including: The Snow Queen (Th. Abazis) at the Onassis Cultural Centre, Sataneri (Th. Sakellaridis), The Golden Apple Tree (Ivan & the Firebird) at the Greek National Opera, Rossiniada (G. Filias & Chloi Mantzari) at the Goulandris Museum and Poreia Theater.

Her presence graced the stage in the original English production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Christmas Theater, and she has collaborated with renowned conductors and directors in major productions at the Athens and Thessaloniki Megaron, as well as the prestigious Athens & Epidaurus Festival. It was there that she had the distinct honor of interpreting the works of the esteemed composer Nikos Kypourgos.

Beyond the opera stage, Maria Katrivesi’s artistic versatility extends to voice acting, lending her voice to celebrated animated films, including Barbie & the Rock Star and The Little Mermaid.

As a performer of exceptional artistry and refinement, Maria continues to captivate audiences with her virtuosity, presence, and unwavering dedication to the world of opera and the performing arts in general. Her performances are driven by a deep belief in the power of storytelling through music, bringing characters to life with authenticity and emotional resonance.
